today i was reading a kiwi kid news article about a gorilla that escaped  here is the article.The London Zoo silver back gorilla, Kumbuka,  that escaped in early October drank five litres of blackcurrant juice before he was recaptured by zookeepers.

An investigation found that Kumbuka made an ‘opportunistic’ exit through two unlocked doors into an area where zookeepers were working.

Kumbuka then threw back five litres of undiluted blackcurrant squash while briefly exploring the area next to his den.

He was finally tranquilised by zoo staff and moved to safety.

yesterday i did Algebra  it was every tricking but after doing it for a while i kind of got the hang of it. We used pop sticks to make triangles and added two on to make another  triangle.

Today i read a story on kiwi kids news about a ghost snake. it  was found in Madagascar  and is a new specie. The ghost snake is pale grey and the markings all over it have never been seen before. although the ghost snake is a new specie it belongs to the cat-eyed snake family. Cat-eyed snakes are named for their vertical pupils,which is often found among snakes that are active in the evening and night.

favourite part of camp

my favourite part of camp was rafting because  i've never build't or drived a raft before. and i fell out of the raft seven times in a row and aslo because i got a wasp sting.

Pua cast his line from the dinghy and it snagged straight away.uncle tried to help him reel it but it wouldn't budge .suddenly the sky turned gray and the sea got choppy and a giant pirate ship bubbled from the depths of the ocean,dwarfing uncles dinghy.

They Bourded the Pirate ship I found a cutlass in a barrel uncle and I searched the Ship clean and found a baby pig and a box of treasure.I desided to keep the pig and name it gooner I promised to look after it.my uncle chucked the treasure on to the dinghy,but it was too heavy uncles dinghy and the treasure sunk to the bottem of the sea.the treasure fell fastly through the water and hit a squid on the head and suddenly a giant squid emerged from out of the sea.I shouted”uncle it’s a giant squid!”We both jumped into the water.I gave my  lifejacket to Gooner  because i knew how to swim.The squid landed on the pirate ship sunk once again down,down,down and down to the depths of the sea.

From the wreckage arose  three pears of goggles and six air tanks “are you thinking?”I said “yeah”said uncle “well  then let's dive”We all dived down to see the shine of gold and diamonds we swam towards the treasure chest  but then out of no where came  the  giant squid i swam towards it and cut off two of his tentacles. The squid  swam away very fast we grabbed the treasure and a boat that could hold the treasure  and Gooner brought the two  tentacles  so we could make calamari for the whole village.

l was learning improper factions and how you can change them from improper fraction and mixed faction numbers. An improper fraction is a fraction that has a numerator bigger then the denominator and a mixed faction is a half whole number and half faction. So what I did in my picture is divided the two numbers together and got that number.
